We introduce a new way to enjoy ume, a signature ingredient of Japan that is still relatively unknown.

This product is made from 100% tree-ripened Fukudayu plums grown in Wakasa Town, Fukui Prefecture, located on the Sea of Japan coast.

Bathed in plenty of sunlight, these plums develop a vibrant orange color and a rich, fruity aroma and flavor reminiscent of peaches and apricots.

Furthermore, by using beet sugar, we have created a healthier option for everyone to enjoy.

DIFFICULTY TO COMMERCIALIZATION

The fragrance and flavour of this fruit is extraordinary, and naturally extends to the flavour of our puree.

However, it took time to control the degree of ripeness and quality, and to establish a manufacturing process for a system that would allow year-round production.

Reactions to our Marketing

We offered a “taste testing” at the Fukui antenna store in Ginza, Tokyo, resulting in a sale of over 100 jars per day.

Renowned chef Mr. Horiuchi, winner of the Le Taittinger international cooking competition, and famous patissier, Mr Kudo, Praise our product highly and include it in their desserts.

Furthermore, it is highly regarded for its flavor, even being selected as the dessert to conclude dinner events at the Palace Hotel Tokyo, a 5 star hotel.
